2nd Annual
Day of the Dead Masquerade
Ball
Profits from this fundraising event will benefit student
members of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of
Illinois' JD Mentors Program by providing LSAT and
state bar preparatory course scholarships for

interest law fellowships for students seeking careers
in which they can provide much needed legal
assistance to the underrepresented.
The event will include night long hors d'oeuvres and
desserts, an event-influenced buffet, two open bars
stocked with premium beverages, a separate bar
featuring the new tequila Jose Cuervo®
Platino
TM,
a silent auction, a display and auction of artwork
inspired by the Day of the Dead and created by
notable local artists, and a live performance by the
Latin jazz ensemble Grupo Cha Cha. Masks
designed and created by Semmerling & Schaefer
Mask Studios will also be available during the event
for $7 to $20, and a portion of the mask sales will be
donated to "HLAI Charities."
