Maria Polo -- the star of Telemundo's daytime

Infant Toddler Child Care Specialist
The Infant Toddler Child Care Specialist will engage
child care practitioners in specific, intensive

relationship-based, specific, intensive consultation
with child care practitioners including staff, directors
and family child care practitioners; identify infant
toddler needs in each CCR&R service delivery area
(SDA); provide on-site technical assistance based on
an assessment of the infant toddler program. (e.g.,
PITC Principles, ITERS, etc.) and work with community
partners, e.g., businesses and schools, to increase
awareness of the importance of brain development
and the impact that high quality child care has on the
developing child. This position requires a Bachelor's
Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood
Education or related field; five years of experience
working with young children with a minimum of two
years in an infant/toddler child care setting; excellent
communications skills; accessibility to reliable
personal transportation with insurance, valid driver's
license and the ability to travel locally with occasional
statewide travel required; demonstrated knowledge of
and respect for the ways in which adults learn and

Quality Counts QRS Specialist
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of
Provider Resources, the Quality Counts QRS
Specialists will maintain a working knowledge and
understanding of all aspects of the Quality Rating &
Tiered Reimbursement System (QRS). QRS
Specialists will advance all program improvement
efforts to home based and center based programs.
Duties include: maintain knowledge and
understanding of QRS policies, related trainings,
training tiers, star levels and processes; provide
orientations on the QRS system and process,
distributes materials and supplies, provide updates of
QRS specific information to Illinois Action for Children
and Community Partner staff; develop and coordinate
QRS program improvement co-horts that will include
trainings related to the Quality Rating System. This

Position Specifications:
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and at

Seeking an experienced program manager with
strong management skills to oversee two initiatives of
the Program to Enhance the Health and Development
of Infant and Children (PEHDIC) at the American
Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Housed
in the Department of Community and Specialty
Pediatrics, this Program Manager will have a variety of
key responsibilities related to an existing AAP Early
Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) program
and a new initiative focused on Fetal Alcohol
Syndrome (FAS), respectively. The position will
include program management, planning and
implementation of educational activities, and oversight
for the coordination, development and dissemination
of program materials. The program manager will be
responsible for working with AAP members and
chapters as well as organization-wide implementation
of activities. Additional position responsibilities
include meeting planning, report writing and grants
management.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in
public health, public administration, health policy, or
related field, along with 2+ years experience in
program coordination and management. Budget
management and/or professional work experience in
