persons and businesses to develop and operate
concessions at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport
("Airport"). The City is issuing three Requests for
Proposals ("RFP") as follows:
1. A Request for Proposals to develop and operate a
manicure/pedicure salon services concession in one
location in Terminal 3 of the Airport.
2. A Request for Proposals to develop and operate a

Enlace Chicago (formerly known as The Little Village
Community Development Corporation), a non-profit
community development corporation, is seeking a
Chief Operating Officer to provide strategic operation's
leadership on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the
annual strategic goals and objectives as set forth by
the Board of Directors are met or exceeded.
The Chief Operating Officer oversees and directs all
aspects of Enlace Chicago operations and programs
and works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and
the Board of Directors to promote and advance the
mission of Enlace Chicago.
Enlace Chicago was formed in 1990 by residents of
Chicago's Little Village community to create an
organization that would engage neighborhood
residents in planning for their community's
development. Enlace Chicago is dedicated to making
a positive difference in the lives of the residents of the
Little Village community by fostering a physically safe
and healthy environment in which to live and by
championing opportunities for educational
advancement and economic development.
Unlike many community development corporations,
Enlace Chicago has thus far put less emphasis on
bricks-and-mortar projects and more on community
organizing and collaboration with other organizations
and individuals. It helps identify neighborhood needs
and involves residents in projects that will benefit
them and their families. Enlace Chicago hopes to
guarantee a strong, consistent community voice in
matters affecting Little Village.
Specifically, the Chief Operating Officer will be
responsible for (but not limited to) the following key
areas:
- Participate with the CEO and Board of Directors in
developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the
organization
- Develop an operational plan which incorporates
goals and objectives that work towards the strategic
direction of the organization
- Ensure that the operation of the organization
meets the expectations of its clients, Board and
Funders
- Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day
operation of the organization
- Oversee the planning, implementation and
evaluation of the organization's programs and
services
- Oversee the planning, implementation, execution
and evaluation of special projects
- Determine staffing requirements for organizational
management and program delivery
- Oversee the implementation of the human
resources policies, procedures and practices,
including the development of job descriptions for all
staff
- Work with the Enlace Chicago staff and the Board
of Directors' Finance Committee to prepare a
comprehensive budget
- Work with the CEO and Board of Directors to
secure adequate funding for the operation of the
organization
- Identify and evaluate the risks to the organization's
people (clients, staff, management, volunteers),
property, finances, goodwill, and image and
implement measures to control risks
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in urban planning,
business administration or related field
- Five (5) years management experience, including
organizational change, strategic planning, program
development, and human resources management
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Proficiency in non-profit budget development and
monitoring preferred
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Access programs and
the Internet a must
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem
solving skills
- Previous experience working with non-profit board
of directors preferred
- Previous experience working with the Latino
community preferred
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills
- Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred

Sr. Network Engineer
Information Services - Corporate Center
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: H.S. Diploma or
equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in Computer

DUTIES: Identifies system problems, determines and

recommendations to management for
hardware/software enhancements based upon study
and analysis of current systems. Provides on-call
support as required for all network and other technical
issues. Maintains the integrity of the local and wide
area networks. Installs, customizes, and maintains
network hardware and software. Configures and
maintains network routers/switches, software and
internet servers for MPEA Events to provide reliable
internet access to Show Organizers and Exhibitors.
Assists helpdesk personnel in providing second and
third level support when required. Works with other IS
Staff and, when necessary, business unit partners to
ensure effective systems solutions and prioritization of
work. Assists in the preparation and administration of
the departmental budget. Analyzes, forecasts, and
makes recommendations regarding the MPEA's
automation needs. Develops clear and concise
comprehensive studies, reports and agenda items.
Makes oral presentations to various
groups/departments as necessary. Writes and
maintains functional specifications for new, modified
and existing systems. Establishes and maintains
effective relations with others, including MPEA

console. Must be able to make watch tours. Makes
vehicular patrols of MPEA property, marshalling yards,
etc. Assigns "key duties" requiring the opening and
closing of meeting rooms upon request. Performs
walking patrols of building corridors, lobbies,
grounds,
and work site areas. Operates portable radio in order
to communicate security information. Prepares
reports for the purpose of reporting security and safety
violations and other building, property, and equipment
irregularities. May direct vehicular traffic in order to
maintain orderly movement. Answers questions and
gives directions to visitors and protects the premises
from unauthorized entry, crime, vandalism, fire, and
other safety hazards. May be required to physically
control a violator, to include use of handcuffs.

Seeking a customer-focused individual with strong
technical and time management skills to join the
Department of Information Technology at the
American
Academy of Pediatrics in this newly created Senior
SQL Database/Application Lead role.
Reporting to the Computer Systems Analyst, this
individual will define, maintain, communicate,
implement, and execute the enterprise database
architecture, solution engineering, standards, and
strategy for its operational usage across the
enterprise, as well as, lead and coordinate a team of
developers through projects from the requirements
phase to customer delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in
Computer Science or an equivalent combination of
related education and work experience, at least 5
years experience with SQL administration in version
2000 and/or 2005, with at least 2 years in version
2005. Experience analyzing and tuning performance
problems in SQL programming code, improving SQL
server management procedures and processes, and
developing with the .NET framework and client-server
environment required. Experience with Microsoft
OLAP design and development, SQL Clusters, SQL
replication configuration and troubleshooting strongly
preferred. Must possess strong analytical and
problem
solving skills, as well as, be able to work both
effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Knowledge of one or more of the following preferred:
MS Web technologies, SQL Server DBMS technology,
Microsoft Reporting Services, SAN carving, and
net:FORUM (AMS). Some travel and weekend work
may be required.
